A Word From Our President
I am extremely honored to hold this position and to lead a group of girls as special as ours, who lift each other up, no matter what. Coming into recruitment my freshman year of 2022, I didn’t know much about Greek life but knew I wanted to find a welcoming and loving sisterhood which is exactly what I found entering Theta for the first time and every time since. Choosing Theta has been nothing short of a blessing and the best decision I’ve ever made. Our values faith, hope, and love exemplify the kind of women we strive to be every day—women of integrity, compassion, and unwavering support for one another.
As president, I am honored to give back to the chapter that has given me lifelong friendships, invaluable leadership experiences, and a true sense of purpose. Theta has shaped me in countless ways, and I ran for this position to help create the same meaningful experience for others. Beyond just being a sorority, Theta is a family where lifelong friendships are formed, and personal growth is nurtured.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a member of Kappa Alpha Theta is our dedication to philanthropy. We are deeply passionate about CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization that ensures children in the foster care system have a voice and the support they need to thrive. Our chapter is dedicated to supporting CASA by raising funds and awareness, believing that every child deserves love, stability, and the opportunity for a bright future. Additionally, we take immense pride in supporting other philanthropic causes, such as DanceBlue, which benefits children battling pediatric cancer, and Make-A-Wish, where our chapter raised over $100,000 last year alone for children who are terminally ill. The passion, teamwork, and dedication we put into these events reflect the heart of our sisterhood.
Another one of our favorite times of the year is recruitment! We love meeting each and every PNM who walks through our doors, learning about their unique personalities, and sharing the sisterhood that has given us so much. The bonds we form here are lifelong, and the love and support we show one another extend far beyond our college years.
Being a Theta has shaped me into the woman I am today, and I couldn't be more grateful for the love, laughter, and leadership opportunities this chapter has provided. Theta is more than just a four-year experience; it's a lifetime of friendship, purpose, and unwavering sisterhood.
As you enter formal recruitment, my biggest piece of advice is to be yourself and trust the process! Every chapter is unique, and recruitment is about finding where you feel most at home. No matter where you end up, know that you are stepping into a sisterhood that will shape you in ways you never imagined. Greek life is about so much more than letters—it’s about finding a community that empowers you to grow, lead, and thrive. We can't wait to meet you and show you all the love and sisterhood that Theta has to offer.
