A Word From Our President

Dear PNM's,

Gamma Phi Beta can not wait to get to know all of you in August, but for now here is a little bit about us! Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1874 so we just celebrated 150 years of Gamma Phi Beta this past year at our annual founders day celebration. Gamma Phi Beta has a couple nicknames you might hear. GPhi or Gamma Phi are the most popular! Our four values are love, labor, learning, and loyalty! You'll find that all of our members exemplify all of these values!

At Gamma Phi Beta our vision is to inspire the highest type of womanhood. One of the ways we do this is through our sisterhood bond that grows stronger each day. Every month we have at least one or two sisterhood events that are either in or out of the house that are a way for the sisters to get to know each other more.  We also have study hours at the house once a week so we can support each other academically as well!

Our Philanthropic mission is to build strong girls! We partner with Girls on the Run to help achieve this. We have members who are coaches for girls and some that are even running buddies. These members go to the schools and help prepare the girls for the 5k, but also teach the girls about being confident and mental health. Besides going to cheer on the girls in their 5k each semester we have two other philanthropy events! Moonball is our primary event! It is a volleyball tournament that any campus organization can compete in. Our secondary event is Gamma Pie Beta, an all you can eat pizza and pie event that is held at our chapter house.

Gamma Phi's love having a chill day at our chapter house that we call the Crescent Castle. Whether it's eating lunch together in the dining room, tanning on our back deck or patio, studying in the study room, or binge watching a show in the basement you'll always find GPhis soaking up every moment with each other! We can not wait to get to know you all more this fall!

With Love,

Elizabeth Holdridge
