A Word From Our President
Dear Panhellenic Sisters,
I begin this letter by reflecting on how blessed I am to be part of a sisterhood that has meant the world to me. Looking back on my time in this chapter, I’ve come to truly appreciate the bonds we share—bonds that are not just rooted in shared experiences but in the deep connection of understanding, kindness, and support.
Each member of Delta Zeta embodies the heart of our sisterhood. From the laughter we share during the best of times, to the quiet moments of reassurance in the toughest of times, my sisters at Delta Zeta have taught me what it means to show up for one another. They’ve shown me that sisterhood isn’t just a word—it’s a living, breathing force that uplifts us, guides us, and holds us up when we need it most.
One of the things I cherish most about our sisterhood is the way we communicate, not just with words, but through shared moments, knowing glances, and the unconditional understanding that exists between us. There’s a rare beauty in knowing that we can be our truest selves without fear of judgment, always knowing we have a safe space to turn to for love and support.
To the women who have walked this journey with me—especially my mentors, my friends, and the sisters who have become my best friends—I want to express my gratitude. I have learned so much from each of you about leadership, resilience, love, and growth. You've shown me what it means to lead with intention, to show up with a heart full of empathy, and to embrace the beauty of a sisterhood that stands by one another through thick and thin.
I’ll be forever grateful for the friendships I’ve found here, like the ones I’ve formed with the incredible women who have shaped my experience. From our deepest conversations to our spontaneous moments of fun, every memory shared has left an indelible mark on my heart. Together, we lift each other higher, celebrate each other’s victories, and provide unwavering support through the struggles.
This passion for sisterhood is not only shown through the deep friendships we form but also in our commitment to service. Each of us takes pride in being involved with other organizations across campus, contributing our time and talents to causes that align with our values. Our chapter is especially devoted to our philanthropy: Hearing and Speech. Through our partnerships with our national philanthropies: Starkey Hearing Foundation, Serious Fun Children's Network, the American Society for Deaf Children, and our local partner, the Hearing and Speech Center of Lexington, we actively work to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Together, we strive to live out the motto of our philanthropy -"So the World May Hear"- by using our voices and actions to create a more inclusive and supportive world for individuals affected by hearing loss. This commitment to service is a true reflection of who we are as sisters, as we aim to bring positive change to our community and beyond.
I’ve been so blessed to learn from the women who’ve come before me and excited to continue learning alongside all of you. Your strength, kindness, and integrity are an inspiration. As we continue on this journey together, I look forward to the countless more memories, laughs, and life-changing moments we’ll share. I am so proud to serve as your chapter president and to be alongside such incredible women every day.
If you find yourself reading this as a potential new member, I encourage you to trust in who you are and embrace the recruitment journey with an open heart. Panhellenic women are truly incredible, and each chapter offers its own unique experience filled with amazing women who embody qualities of leadership, kindness, and strength. The women in Panhellenic are driven, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference—not just within their sororities, but in the world around them. Specifically, Delta Zeta is a sisterhood built on values of friendship, generosity, community, empowerment, belonging, and curiosity. These values have shaped me into the woman I am today, and I am so excited for you to explore what it means to be part of a chapter that holds these principles at its core. This process has been a transformative experience for me, and I hope it will be just as meaningful for you. I can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll accomplish as you find your place in our Panhellenic community, and I look forward to the year ahead!
With love and gratitude,
Ellie Wolf,
Delta Zeta Chapter President
