A Word From Our President

Being able to speak about and represent the organization of Tri Delta is not only just an honor – it is one of the greatest gifts in my life. I can proudly say the 292 members who stand by my side are women who are brave, bold, and kind and continue to live out the legacy of our founders each and every day.

Founded in 1888 by women and for women, this organization has fostered a legacy of empowerment and connection. At the University of Kentucky, we are home to women all across the country, each with their own unique passions, personalities, and perspectives. However, despite each member’s individuality, each person is united through our values of self-sacrifice, friendship, and truth. Our motto, “Let us steadfastly love one another” is at the heart of everything we do. In moments of stress and hardship or joys and success, we show up for one another in unwavering support. It is truly a sisterhood worth celebrating.

Tri Delta is full of possibility and growth. Joining this chapter in 2022, I would never have dreamed of the person I could grow into today. This organization empowers its members to grow—not only as individuals but also as friends and leaders within their community. Whether that be motivating one another to reach higher GPA achievements, fundraising as a team for our philanthropy, St. Jude, cheering on our friends in leadership roles, or inspiring other members to get involved in other clubs around campus, Tri Delta fosters an environment for members to thrive. Through this support and shared ambition, we cultivate a sisterhood of intelligent, driven, and dynamic women—each striving to reach her full potential.

When I was going through recruitment, I was fearful of finding the right place that felt like home. My worries were soon dismissed in Tri Delta. This organization accepted me with open arms by laughing at my unfunny jokes, being proud of my accomplishments, and listening to me with full attention. There was no doubt in my mind that within Tri Delta, I would find the people who would shape me into who I am today and who would be my lifelong friends. When the opportunity arose to run for chapter president, I knew the role was exactly the thing to give back to the organization that has given me so much. I have already begun to see the blessings that come with this role and being able to watch my sisters’ dreams and ideas come to life.

Tri Delta’s are kind alike to all and I cannot wait for you to experience that kindness during recruitment. Remember to come into this process with an open mind and as your true, authentic self. Tri Delta and all of Panhellenic will meet you where you are.
